SON: ' Daddy, how much do you make an hour? '

DAD: ' That ' s none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing? ' the
man said angrily.

SON: ' I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour? '

DAD: ' If you must know, I make $50 an hour. '

SON: ' Oh, ' the little boy replied, with his head down.

SON: ' Daddy, may I please borrow $25? '

The father was furious, ' If the only reason you asked that is so you can
borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march
yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being
so selfish. I don ' t work hard everyday for such childish frivolities. '

The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.

The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy ' s
questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money?

After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down , and started to think:

Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $25.00 and he
really didn ' t ask for money very often The man went to the door of the
little boy ' s room and opened the door.

' Are you asleep, son? ' He asked.

' No daddy, I ' m awake, ' replied the boy.

' I ' ve been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier ' said the man.
' It ' s been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here ' s the
$25 you asked for. '

The little boy sat straight up, smiling. ' Oh, thank you daddy! ' he yelled.
Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills.

The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again.

The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his
father.

' Why do you want more money if you already have some? ' the father
grumbled.

' Because I didn ' t have enough, but now I do, ' the little boy replied.

' Daddy, I have $50 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home
early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you. '

The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little son, and he begged
for his forgiveness.
It ' s just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life. We
should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time
with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts. Do remember
to share that $50 worth of your time with someone you love.

If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace
us in a matter of hours. But the family & friends we leave behind will feel
the loss for the rest of their lives.

The Story of Auggie and the birth of ~REDTEAM~

A long long long time ago, i would say around 4 years or so, The newbie Knight Auggie was looking for friends to teach him about the wonderful world of Lineage. He became good friends with a high lv knight at the time named GenZerD who took Auggie under his wing. He learned a great amount and soon became a well known slayer of gnolls and merchant of mith and Iron making him very wealthy. He worked very hard in Talking Island until lv48 because at that time mith was very high priced and very easy to aquire, while many tried to lv in hard and terrible places the newbie knight stayed in his island until he was rich and ready to venture into the new world! The new world was scary it was big and ruthless but the set out into the new world with his closest friends (Socastee, GenZerD, Belthane, Deltadwag, Laura, and Lyra) As time passed many had quite and new friends had arrived. Auggie met a great elf who loves to hunt constantly this char was named OoelfoO. The originall OoelfoO (brandon) had hunted with Auggie on FI for many many days and there lv grew so fast. But atlas OoelfoO also had quite and his legacy will always be rememberd he also gave Auggie a momentom on his deathbed, it was his most preciouse item a Ring of Teleport Control (which at that time was worth more then 20 probably 4omill). Auggie was greatful and until this day will always cherish his first best friend Brandon AkA OoelfoO. The newbie knight was no longer a newb.... well for the most part~ As time passed new people came into the young knights life, they were FANTASTIK DARKCASUM NAMINORI ARCHKNIGHT ANGRIM CASTILE BURSTANGEL INJECTION KICKYAHARD. Some of these were a bunch of nogood misfits BUT deep inside they had a good heart and always looked out for each other. Thats when Auggie decided to make a team of strong elite players that will cooperate in boss battles and helping achive there goals. It was like a mini BP of elites that help each other out. Auggie named it Red Team on a whim~ although Auggie had created the team he saw great charisma and potential in the great elf darkcasum who he made Leader of the band of misfits. We all swore a pack of loyalty and companionship to Darkcasum and swore to follow and obey his commands. At this Auggie has watch team members come and go but they will always be remembered. The objective of Red Team is to help your team member out similar to a BP but smaller and more secure~ As time passes friends come and go and new members arise, but we shall never forget those we care about~ New REDTEAM is forming and we are probably going to change the team name~ Intreasted in joining or comments about the team wis me thru game AUGUSTUS02~

A plain computer illiterate guy rings tech support to report that his computer is faulty.

I. Lastabad

Ruler of Outer World, Girtas (or Girutas)!
If he makes it to our world, there will only be death. Who will stop him? For the true peace of Aden...

1. Lastabad is completed. Completed Lastabad consists of 4th floor and holy land of Dark Elf.

2. Lastabads Great 8 Sages and Elite Commander Casandra appears on Lastabad 4th floor . In the most deep part of the castle, True Emperor Dantes is found to become a Death Knight.

3. In order to complete through rooms in Lastabad 4th floor, the Sages must be killed or sometimes entire room must be decimated.

4. Speaking with Dantes can lead you to enter Holy Land of Dark Elves. In order to speak to Dantes, you must ask Officer Marbes.

5. In the Holy land of Dark Elves, Giants and organism of another world exist. It is an dangerous place where Girutas awaits to be reborn.

6. You can craft Lastabad's legendary weapons and Emperors armor sets. Speak to blacksmith Adelio in regards to how to craft such items. You should also speak to Chlorenz who appears in 3F Safe Zone and Ataroze who appears near Recluse village.

**** For those of us who follow and value the lore and story progress... Lastabad is of course our biggest interest and receives center of attention. Lastabad has always been designed as a focus area for high level players. While its uncertain how hard/easy this area is with LOA rules, in Korean servers 4 level 65 players usually can't make it through to face Dantes. The suggested party size is at minimum 6 to full party with melee/range class in the 60+. This update was particularly unpopular because it forced people to hunt in large groups without increasing the benefit of doing so. In many cases it mirrors Island event and the problems faced with splitting drops among the pledgemates. Users asked other means of splitting drops and receiving better exp bonus paving way to more enjoyable party hunting system. The idea was dismissed. :( The issue of inaccessibility and dominant pledge controlling this area was also a problem as fights often broke out in the entrance due to yet another "small landscape" design like in ToS.

II. Lastbads Lower Level

The forces of Alliance marches towards Lastabad's 3rd floor and successfully vanquishes Hellvine. At this instance Lastabad is overwhelmed with great shakings and Lastabad's Dark Elves painfully get enveloped in Darkness.

1. Lastabad's (Basement, 1st, 2nd, 3rd) is revamped. Monster types and item rewards have been twicked to match the story splot.

2. Lastabad's dark elves gets cursed and turn undead when their hp drops to certain value.

3. Lastabad has been set so you cannot return to the room you already passed.

4. Lastabad's lower level room has a fixed time requirement now.

5. There are new quest available in the front gate of Lastabad. Speak to the following NPC.

**** Gone are the good days of leveling super fast.. The undead hits really hard sometimes killing healers in one hit.. on top of which they stun.. enter at your own risk.

III. Cave of Desires (Demon Temple)

"Varlok will reborn through holy ritual!"

Varlok's spy leaves his last word as Yahee turns him into dust by just a breath. Yahee returns to his research laboratory and speak to his Kahels.

"The greed and treatury of Humans knows no end. We will now use them most efficiently!"

1. In area near Windawood a dimentional door has been placed. If you enter this door, it leads you to Cave of Desires.

2. There are 4 areas in Cave of Desires marked by different elements. In the depths, you can find an portal that leads you to face Varlok.

3. In order to enter Varlok's lair you must obtain certain amount of Karma either undead or demon.

4. In order to obtain karma, you must pick a side and destroy their enemy.

5. You can now use soul/bloodstones to increase or decrease karma by donating them. Donating Soulstone favors Demons while donating bloodstone favors Undead. Speak to an adminitrator at cave of desires.

6. You can betray your current allegiance by speaking to "Shaken One"

7. The Varlok quest crew that were placed in left side of SOE has been moved to Cave of Desires.

8. ToS now has yahee's research laboratory. You may speak to yahee to gain insights on how to defeat the demon bosses.

**** Finally the other side of ToS. Its nice for Knights as the ultimate quest reward mirroring Yahee Set is Elis.. name of a great sword admist the demons. Sword from my understanding can be upgraded to become more powerful with each update.. The counter part to earings reward in ToS is an ammy. I plan to update on it at later time.

IV. Grave of Sailors

In the deapths of Pirate Island, there is an area where debris of ships are gathered. This is the grave of sailors. It is a place of sorrow and regret... Unknown monsters and soul of the dead resides here...

1. In the 2nd area of PI you may speak to Josu to enter Grave of Sailors.

2. There are largely two areas. A water area like Heine 4th and ship area where the air is preserved.

3. New quests are added. You can find quest giver near the entrance to hunting area.

4. Shop keeper Vehik can be find near the entrance as well. He sells different items including ones needed for quests.

5. A boss Giant Squid appear randomly in these waters.

**** New hunting area for mid level players. There are few unique items that drop here yet making it a place to hunt for some players who collect rare items. yet much of this hunting area gets abandoned in Korea with Heine Dungeon renewal that was followed shortly after this update. Heine Dungeon was far more easily accessible with better xp and item drops.

V. Orc's Corrupted Holy Land

The Holy Tree of Orcs has begins to show signs of corruption. It does not seem as though it can heal. This is affecting many other tribes.. If you can help, we'd be in your debt yet this is a dangerous task. Will you help? - Elder Atuba Noname

1. You can receive a recommendation from Orc Scout. Speak to Noname for more info.

2. Speak to Dudamara Orc in Orc Fortress to enter the corrupted holy land.

3. You can be rewarded for finding clues in the corrupted holy land.

**** another area that has been completely abandoned... Much question why it was created in the first place..

VI. Elf magic renewal.

1. 'Counter Mirror''s success rate has been increased.

2. 'Erase Magic"'s success rate has been largely decreased. It is affected by players level. If caster's level is higher spell success rate was greatly increased while when caster's level is lower success rate was greatly decreased.

3. 'Earth Bind's success rate is affected less by level difference. If caster's level is higher spell success rate was greatly increased while when caster's level is lower success rate was greatly decreased.

4. 5th Level Magic "Burning Weapon" "Storm Shopt" "Iron Skin" is a self cast magic now.

5. New Elf magic will be announced at later time.

**** There are many new elf magic... making Ep6 a big thumbs up for the Elves. Ebind /Erase Magic update had little affect on the pvp of things as much of the player base in korea were already well beyond level 70. It was just seen as nerf for new players.

VII. Mercenary Renewal

1. With the exception of Diad, each of the castle's mercenary has been renews. There are 4 new types now including swordsman, pikeman, archers and mages.

**** neat. but what we are really waiting for is castle dungeons updates in later part of Ep6. As the quest reward from owning castles far outweighs current item specs, it made castles highly desirable to obtain.

VIII. Pet Renewal

1. Melee Pet has been renewed as follows

- Wolf: Attack Damage has been decreased. After evo, run speed has been increased.
- Bear, Husky, Attack Damage has been increased. Run speed has been increased.
- Shepherd: Stat and Attack Damage has been increased.
- Collie: Attack Damage has been increased.

2. Magic Pet has been renewed as follows

- General Attack Damage and range has been reduced.
- Attack Damage, MP Regen and Range has been twicked to match its of the magic pet.

**** interesting.. most thought that with so much better alternatives with summons.. pet was becoming useless.. They tried to change that notion yet the affect remains the same.. Summons are still better.

IX. Other Stuff

1. 'Pet Flute'can be used to summon pet in places where pets are allowed. You can purchase pet flute from shops. Double click on Pet collar while you have pet flute in order to summon your pet.

2. Polymorph List has been twicked to have short cuts.

3. Friend List now has color code.

4. Summon and Tame monsters now show their "bind timing" on their menu.

**** These updates are always good... Much is debated yet that these updates are basically a copy of interface hacks thats becoming very popular and become acceptable in Korea... But the movement towards user customization was quickly ended with these updates.. signaling that NC had no plans to let the users customize their interface but rather will decide what they'll copy on from ones already in circulation to their main code. >.<

X. Last Stuff..

1. 'Ancient Plate Mail' can be used to obtain "Dark Executioners Plate Mail" Talk to Anton in Giran

2 'Dress Evasion' ER rate has been adjusted. The effect has been reduced. :(

3. New Knight Skill will be annouced at later time.

Karma Compilation

You can earn Karma by hunting or donating. Each Stone Donation gives you 100 Karma (EP6).

Experience is estimated as each mobs in TOS/SOE has different Exp. 1% of EXP is based on Lev 49+.

Level 1: Total Karma Required 10000, Stone Donation 100, 5000 Kills in TOS 1F, 333 Kills in SOE (Priests of Tarak/Minions of Varlok), 28% in TOS 1F, 2.8% in SOE

Level 2: Total Karma Required 20000, Stone Donation 200, 10000 Kills in TOS 1F, 333 Kills in SOE (Priests of Tarak/Minions of Varlok), 56% in TOS 1F, 5.6% in SOE

Level 3: Total Karma Required 100000, Stone Donation 1000, 50000 Kills in TOS 1F, 2664 Kills in SOE (Priests of Tarak/Minions of Varlok), 280% in TOS 1F, 28% in SOE

Level 4: Total Karma Required 500000, Stone Donation 5000, 250000 Kills in TOS 1F, 13320 Kills in SOE (Priests of Tarak/Minions of Varlok), 1400% in TOS 1F, 140% in SOE

Level 5 and Beyond: Don't bother

Some Facts: TOS 1F Mobs give 2 Karma each kill. SOE Mobs give 30 Karma each kill. TOS 2F Death mobs are 10 Karma each kill.
